CHEDER CHABAD'S
APPROACH
TORAH & CHASSIDUS
The primary goal of the school is to instill in our students יראת שמים, Chassidishe values, a love for Hashem, and a lifelong commitment to Torah and Mitzvos. We inspire our students to follow the teachings of the Rebbe and the tenets of Chassidus, as they each make their unique contribution and lasting impact on the world.
NURTURING
We balance a dynamic, passionate learning environment with a warm, respectful atmosphere in which every child is valued, challenged, loved, and nurtured. These qualities form our entire school community, including our relationships with parents and families.
Our focus is on the whole child, and we seek to guide each student in developing his/her maximum potential על פי דרכו.
MEANINGFUL AND EXCITING
Cheder Chabad’s curriculum encourages self-motivation and exploration. Our engaging, hands-on lessons encourage students to take personal pride in their achievements, fostering a lasting love for תורה and מצות. Yomim Tovim and יומי דפגרא come alive through special events and experiences.
RIGOROUS CURRICULUM
Our rigorous curriculum adheres to the latest best practices in student learning, including data-driven and differentiated instruction. At the same time, we focus on teaching our students the skills they need to become lifelong independent learners. We strive for excellence and openness to new ideas, and encourage the same in our students. Our curriculum also emphasizes gaining a broad knowledge throughout כל התורה כולה.
QUALITY STAFF
Our Judaic studies teachers are passionate about Chabad Jewish education, and serve as living examples of the lessons they teach. This spirit extends throughout our faculty, whose patience and kindness foster positive relationships with students. Our robust, year-long program of professional development keeps our teachers abreast of the latest teaching methodologies, and a strong commitment to faculty support ensures that each classroom is supplied with the most up-to-date resources. It is our highest priority to maintain skilled, devoted and experienced staff.
Cheder Chabad’s commitment to collaboration and mutual support extends to its faculty. We encourage our teachers to develop innovative approaches to instruction, and to share their insights with each other.
All instructional staff have a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, or a bachelor’s degree, or have special skills, knowledge or expertise that qualifies them to teach those subjects.
